Training swim

Decided to go for a swim after my 4.6 mile run to complete my training day.  Feeling a little extra motivation to swim after being exposed to Diana Nyad’s swim from Cuba to Florida through Jellyfish and shark infested waters.  Only to find out that my local YMCA is going to be closed from 12 to 2 everyday now.  This not so good news of the Y’s new hours only left me with a half hour swim.  I somehow managed to work myself into cramping during the short half hour workout set, so I guess i didn’t need any more time in the pool.

Since switching to 3rd shift my swim portion of my triathlon training has really suffered.  Everytime I get in the water my breathing is very laboured and I feel like I’m running on empty for the most part.  I don’t noticed this tiredness for the most part with running and biking.  Very strange indeed……
