First day with my Garmy (Garmin 910xt GPS watch). Ah it is good to be back to measured workouts. I did enjoy the break from not really knowing how hard I was working or just going for time instead or distance versus pace and cadence. But in the end I much prefer knowing what my pace is, cadence on the bike, my stroke rate etc. I guess I’m just anal like that….
I had a great swim workout, working on longer swims, breathing in the trough, stronger kick, and shallower front catch. After my swim workout, I hit the YMCA yoga class, for some good stretching and balance work. After working out some kinks via Yoga, I did my 4 mile faster tempo run. I will begin to implement more HR zone training for a 3 month phase coming soon. But I will make sure I get some speed drills and windsprints in once a week.
