I “officially” joined the 200 lake crossing club with the ceremonial presentation of the Lucky’s Lake T-shirt. I decided to do 3 crossings today and really focus on smooth relaxed swimming strokes. I still need to get my swimming time down, as I am still swimming slower than I was earlier in the year.
I’m still not sure why I’m swimming slower, maybe it’s the taking one step back to two steps forward as I continue to integrate new swim improvements? I feel like I’m swimming more technically correct, now my endurance and stamina needs to catch back up.
I’ve also really tightened up my diet, with the reduction of my comfort foods and sugary sweets. Gotta look good for Ironman Arizona, which is only 6 short weeks away.
